The Lodge at Tillie's

I grew up hunting in Pennsylvania,
always hearing stories of the big deer
Texas had to offer and after hunting
the Tillies Ranch, it is all true.

I have never met a ranch manager
more in tune with his piece of property.
He is constantly scouting, watching
deer movement and behavior...and
as we all know that is the secret
to success when it comes to
whitetail hunting.

With the option of bow and
rifle hunting and the true atmosphere
of a Texas Hill Country ranch, Tillies
is a great place for either the beginner
or the avid hunter chasing that
BUCK OF A LIFETIME.

The Lodge

Tillie’s hunting lodge, complete with an outdoor entertainment pavilion, has been a huge hit with our hunters. In the spirit of maintaining historical relevance, the design is a significantly expanded version of the classic 1800's Fredericksburg Sunday House. The exterior is 100% stone with a metal roof and a very large wrap-around porch which is ideal for relaxing after a long day in the field. The outdoor entertainment pavilion, situated midway between Tillie's original house and the new hunting lodge has proven to be the perfect venue for hunters to meet while sitting around the fire pit at a day's end enjoying cold beverages and appetizers as the evening meal is being prepared.

Dining

At Tillie’s, all meals are cooked daily over a pit using only fresh vegetables, meats and fish. Our food preparation can be best described as a fusion of gourmet with campfire-chuck wagon cooking. Bottled water and a variety of diet and regular soft drinks are stocked daily in the lodge refrigerator. Wines are typically excellent Italian and California vintages. A nice selection of beer and cocktails are also available as are after dinner liquors and cigars for those who enjoy a lazy evening after a rewarding day of hunting and a satisfying meal.  Guests who have specific dietary restrictions should notify us when booking a hunt.
